So i post on this site, and the guys there are really cool. It's a sci-fi movie film fan site with news and boards. Anyways, the boyz there are really cool and have been supportive and excited about this project as I've shared news with them. One guy Mitch just asked me for some details about the process and I thought i'd just repost my answers to him here for you folks! check it out!

Notice anything different on the site? :) Check out my fancy-shmancy Trailer Viewer on the right!!

So Rob Daly's finished his sound design and mix. I won't lie and say it's 100% complete, BUT we met our deadline of having a festival-ready version done on June 1st.

So for the past month, I've been working to get the final sound design completed. I met with Rob last week to review progress and to see how the sound designs been shaping up. So far so good! Rob's come up with some unique sounds for each soldier's machine guns, he's added some awesome splatter sounds for when bodies get shot, there's a great ripping sound now when appendages get torn off, and my beloved Multibodies now have their own droid whine when they fly by!!

Hi, i'm do the closing credits! I lost all my email 6 months after the shoot. Is this you in the picture? I lost your email and forgot your name, but thank you so so much for being my PA and boom operator. Please email me with you information so I can put you in the credits!

The film will be completed on June 1st.

Creating the credit sequence at the end now..spent 2 hours on google looking for a template of the sequence in which credits "should" be listed. Found nothing that said there had to be a specific just doing it in my own order of who should get credit for what...Know a site that lists the recommended order? post it as a reply, otherwise i'm just going with my gut..i guess i could just pop in a dvd or something to see what others

hi all, glad you're enjoying the newest 3d shots! I wanted to quickly announce that now that picture has locked, sound design/mix has begun. Rob Daly has joined the crew as the sound designer. You may not have heard of Rob, but i bet you a bazillion dollars you've heard Rob's work! Rob's done sound design on the animated series: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, GI Joe, and get this - Transformers! My all time favorite cartoon ever in the whole universe!! We'll have some work up in the coming weeks! So now you know, and knowing's half the battle!!!!! mc

w00t!! it's finally done! For past month, work on 3D animated shots has been rapid fire. I wanted to post some progress shots, but decided to wait until it was all complete to show you the finished work along with progress shots.

Why? Cuz there will inevitably be someone who watches a pre-vis sequence and snickers, "the resolution is so low!!!" when the point is to focus on composition, blocking, and animation. so here's the reel of final shots.

In the coming days, i'll have more stills and materials in this post to show you how it all unfolded. for now, click read more and enjoy the shots!!

04/09/07 Just posted some supplementary materials!!

Who Am I and why in the world... i doing this?? I ask myself this all the freaking time but the conclusion is always the same- I don't know why, all I know is that I just must, must, must make this film...
