Practical FX work begins!!

Behold the melting Smurf man!! Actually, it's our actor, Einar Gunnar, who's playing the diplomat. In this post, we're documenting Part I of how me make a mold of his head (only to completely destroy it later!!). When done, the mold will have blood, guts, and maybe- if we're all very good- some cow's brain for luck!! Click to see our pics...

Hey folks, here's Part I of "How to make a diplomat's head so a combat mech can punch in his skull"...These were done at the house of one our FX guys- Ken.
Ken's mixing up some stuff that looks like melted Smurf, but it hugs whatever it's resting on capturing all the nice detail. It dries real fast too. Oh, and there's Armando, our documentary filmmaker shooting behind the scenes!
The plastic on the floor makes it look like we're gonna kill our actor and dispose of his body 'nice and clean'.
