Soldiers take down a cyborg with explosive bullets!!!!
i had to post this work-in-progress shot for you guys!! I slowed it down to half the speed so you can appreciate/scrutinize my handy work. I'm close to the end of these effects and this sequence is one of the fun ones!! I had to encode in divx so I wouldn't hose your bandwidth. check it yo. When completed and played at regular speed, this sequence is only 10 seconds long! hope you like. more soon. mc

Really cool, the light on his face was really nice, was that a feathered mask with levels color correction? And where can I find effects footage like this. I know of detonation films.com which is a cool site but kind of limited.

thanks for the comment! yes it's multicolored feathered masks. i made the garbage mattes myself frame by frame. Detonation gave me some digital assets i used in other effects. Video copilot also helped. good luck man!

confusion
Not really sure why, but how come there is fire coming out of the guy when he gets shot. It's like a muzzle flash coming out of his body. I'd imagine the blood would be correct. Just lookin out and wonderin. Good luck

the soldiers of Division 9 are equipped with explosive armament for anti-mech/cyborg pacification missions. Major Huron was unable to get any thermo/motion/visual scan thru the warehouse's L3 ICE security, so the troops were prepared for any type of engagement. the video here is slowed down keep in mind too. thanks!!
