Today's not worth writing too much about. Spent the whole freaking day in a rented truck making returns all over New York and Queens. Jen and I spend the entire morning cleaning up and moving stuff out of the warehouse. I break down the lights and compare what I have with the inventory receipt from pick up day 6 days earlier. By the time we're done I've spent the equivalent of the average shoot day - 9am to 5pm - making returns.

As I sit in the truck stuck in Queens traffic, I reflect about how, 8 years ago, I was doing the same type of equipment returns on a Blue's Traveller MTV music video shoot as a lowly production assistant. Today, I'm that same PA, but it's my film, I'm the director/producer, and no traffic or fatigue can erase this smile on my face.
